Military grade HoloSun; I’ve had a few of the presiding non military models of these and they work great but these new ones are even better. The work I do these days is just as an enthusiast/ hobbyists but if I was going into the fight anywhere I would definitely recommend having and using one of these. The solar panel is a great idea, it deams and brightens automatically so that the recticel is always the right brightness for the area your in. The only issue that I’ve had with it is that if you are in a really dark place aiming out to really bring target it’s hard to see the recticel as bright as the well let target, but no worries it has a manual adjustment to brighten up the recticel if you need it to be brighter. All in all it works really well in all lighting conditions. The new caps/ lense covers are see through, so you don’t have to flip them open to get on target, when seconds count little things like that can make all the deference. The quick detach mount,,, I haven’t had any problems with it coming loose, moving around or loosing zero. I’ve found it to work quite well on all of the guns I’ve been running them on in calibers from 308/7.62x51mm, 5.56, 7.62x39, 5.7x28mm, 45ACP, 9mm and 12ga. On the 308 I’ve removed it several times to place on a long range scope and reinstalled it with no loose of zero. I would definitely recommend HoloSun optics.

I do not own anything in its "class" to compare it to . I looked at the sig romeo 4T and the aimpoint T2 . I ended up going with this one simply for cost . I'm not a contractor or otherwise use it daily to protect other peoples lives so spending $700+ on the aimpoint didnt make sense to me ( for my application) . I shoot a lot . I work from home and have a range in my back yard . So in between jobs and other shenanigans, I probably shoot 2-3000 rounds a month ( I also hand load ) .I think this optic was well thought up designed. You have 2 choices for your reticle. 1 thing I was disappointed on was when in single dot mode, the auto dimming feature doesnt work which was a bummer for me as this was one of the features I bought it for . The auto off/on is great . Thumping the firearm with your finger is enough to turn it back on so you will never draw the weapon fast enough to beat it . I use this on a suppressed SIG Rattler and mp5 clone, also suppressed. The brightness settings dont wash out on the brightest days with the north Carolina sun blaring as hard as it can and the adjustment buttons have a good, solid adjustment . I found it very odd that they are on the right side of the weapon but that doesnt get in the way . I prefer buttons vs wheels ( as long as the adjustment are solid ) so that was another factor when choosing . With my glasses on the dot is clear and stands out .nice and crisp . Running reactive targets like a dueling tree or Texas star were no problem at... Read More...

Overall very happy with this sight. I can compare this to my Aimpoint Pro and my Trijicon MRO sights and say that considering the features, price, and quality it really outshines my other sights. My only concern will be how it holds up over time, but the construction looks like it is built well. Watch the reviews on YouTube for all of the positives and negatives of this sight. I will buy again when I need another red dot sight

This holosun optic is an excellent optic for the money. I like the kill flash and lenses covers. The only downside is, the lense covers come open pretty easy, but are removable by increasing them. If mounting on an ultra low profile mount (mp5), you need to remove the kill flash and covers before doing so or it will be difficult to do so afterwards. Otherwise, I'm extremely satisfied with the military grade optic. It seems robust and has protected adjustments. Overall a good buy.

This is my first Holosun product, and I'm completely happy with the purchase. It mounts up nicely to my AR with a lower 1/3 co-witness. I like hot it's solar powered and has protected windage and elevation adjustments. It has a battery saving auto shutoff feature that turns on the moment you touch the gun it's mounted to - no delay.

So far it is heavy duty, the reticles stays in sight at 200 to 600 yards. The red dot sight brightness adjustment is really ergonomic, It is self explain to adjust the brightness. And you dont always have to use the battery as the solar power does it work as they say. I would recommended the red dot sight It is perfect duty military gear piece.

Absolutely worth every penny. I set this bad boy on a new build (Aero Precision M4E1) and it's definitely a nessesary for preppers trying to stay as close to being away from batteries as it gets aside from buying a Trijicon. 20,000-50,000 hours depending on your setting preference for one battery and then get yourself a 10 pack of batteries from ebay and your set for a long time. In end just do it, put it in your cart and enter those card digits.

It’s well built and it works! No it’s no aimpoint but I can buy 2 or 3 for what an aimpoint T2 cost. It’s just as tough and clear as any red dot I’ve had. I would recommend and buy again. It has a very smooth transition from battery to dolor. You can’t even tell. The flip up caps are nice with the ARD. It’s definitely military grade all the way.

I wanted a lightweight optic for my new AR build. I settled on the Holosun as I wanted a little better quality than the cheep ones on the market. Having the option of either a red dot like an aimpoint. And the circle dot like an Eotech in one unit makes it a no brainer The image is clear easy to operate have had no issues In my option best bang for the buck And looks cool too

Shake-to-wake, two options for your reticle, and great battery life/solar function are amazing features that this optic brings. Compact design that is made of quality material, as it isn't too heavy or too light.

A very nice optic which has the option of setting the red dot brightness manually or having automatically adjust based on brightness conditions. I just leave mine on automatic where when it detects movement it turns on. The quick release is a nice feature which similar optics lack. My only gripe with this optic and it does annoy me is the flip up covers. The hinge for these should be recessed back so that they are aligned with the edge of the optic. As they currently are, they are in front of the edge of the optic which creates a tendency for the covers to flip open from carrying the rifle. Perhaps Holosun will fix this problem and possibly fix it for those of us who bought the optic. Nutnfancy on youtube does a pretty in depth review on this optic which influenced my decision to purchase. All in all a nice optic.

This was the first Holosun optic I have purchased. And I am pretty happy with the optic overall. I put it on my Windham Weaponry HBC that has a 16" barrel. The reason I bought this optic is all because it offers a solar power and a battery power option. If times were to get really bad and SHTF. Your not going to be able to run to the local store for batteries. Therefore, your going to to need a second option of power source. With the solar power source, you'll be able to run this optic forever. The optic has a very clean construction. Parts seem to be well made. It came with a nice plastic storage box and included an extra battery compartment slider door. The QD mount is very nice! The construction and material of the mount is top quality. The mounts QD lever and lock mechanism are not cheaply made and very study. The glass is very clear. The auto-adjust brightness setting I find to be pretty nice and useful. The flip-up lens covers are nice and can be removed if wanted, I was not a fan of the fill flash. Fortunately, you are able to remove the kill flash. If I were to be in a SHTF situation, I would most definitely put the kill flash back in. Both reticles can still be seen very well even when the brightness is cranked down to a lower setting. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase of this Holosun model. Please keep in mind, this is by far not the same quality of a AimPoint. Yes, I would recommend this Holosun model to others. However, I would still recommend a AimPoint ... Read More...

Very solid chassis. Shuts off sinple, easy to use. Peep sight under riser is a nice plus. Best applicatiin for a subgun. Caps for windage and elevation, need to be wired easy to lose. Auto adjust brightness never use. Price is a little better conpared to the sig models

This is the best cost effective alternative to the higher end options such as aimpoint and eotech. Crisp dot and 65 moa circle is the perfect combo. Built solid and robust. I would definitely recommend this to someone wanting a quality red dot without breaking the bank.

This red dot is put together very well! Very impressed with the fit and finish. Very clear reticle. Easy to use functions. If not mounting on an ar then you can remove part of the mount to lower the optic for triditional style stocks . Love the automatic mode. Definitely will be purchasing another

I’ve had this optic for awhile and have had 0 issues. One of my brother-in-law’s law enforcement buddies has one on his rifle and he’s tortured the heck out of it and it still works like new, holds a zero like the day he sighted it in. It is a phenomenal optic and I’d recommend 10/10!

I really like this red dot sight on my 556. Works just as advertised, so far so good. I will be adding a magnifier to it for longer shots. Thanks optics planet. At 100ft it’s fine at the range. But when we go to the outdoors range I’m sure I’ll need to zoom in a bit with magnifier.
