M&P, Military & Police Out The Front Knife, Aluminum Handle, AUS8 Stainless Steel Blade, Grey Spear, Black Oxide Blade Coating, 3.5 Blade Length, Large Finger Actuator, Lock Release, Safety Lock, Window Punch, Pocket Clip

This Out The Front knife is not an automatic, but rather an assisted opening knife being deployed using a thumb slider which manually starts the blade movement until the spring assisted mechanism takes over. Manual retraction of the blade is made easy by a blade release button and slider.

The blades are made of high quality AUS-8 stainless steel, providing unquestioned performance and longevity. The sturdy aluminum handle with black and gray finish fits in the hand nicely and is built to last. A glass breaker and tip down pocket clip can also be found on the handle and help to maximize the tools functionality. A sliding safety protects against any possibility of accidental deployment.

I am a tool and knife collector. I love this S&W OTF knife. This thing is solid, and razor sharp, the action is lightning fast, you have to be careful because it's like a 3-1/2 inch razor blade ! Very similar to the Schrade Viper knives, but the actuator is in better placement. I really like gadgets and gizmos, but this is a really useful tool because it fits good in my hand, and is awesome when you need a super sharp tool. I've paid high dollar for a Harkins Triton, and this one is almost as nice! Very clever design, it's just so cool I can't stop practicing with it, It's important to get used to the action so you don't cut yourself. I had to buy two of them (Ha !).

Awesome knife. Well made, great color, shape blade. Added a little lube inside the slider so now it flys out. It was a little dry so you could hear metal to metal when opening, now its nice and smooth.

Bought for the low price and a youtube recommendation. Solid otf knife, very little movement play in the blade compared to other similar knives I own. Pleased and recommend. Love the skull crusher and believe every knife should have one!
